Malaysia Automatic Hot Press Machine for Single-Layer Production Carriage Panels

Market Background

Malaysia’s carriage and transport equipment manufacturing sector requires panel production processes that can accommodate large-format sandwich structures while maintaining controlled bonding conditions. For production carriage panels, uneven heating, insufficient pressing force, air bubbles, delamination, bulging, and panel warping can affect the final sealing and insulation performance. For manufacturers handling large panels, the hot pressing system therefore needs to coordinate heating, pressure, holding time, and material handling within one production process.

Customer and Application Scenario

A Malaysian customer required one automatic hot press machine for single-layer production carriage panels. The application involved bonding carriage panel facings with sandwich core materials. The customer required a large working area, multi-point hydraulic pressing, controlled hot-oil heating, and automatic loading and unloading to reduce manual panel handling.

The target process was based on six hydraulic cylinders applying synchronized pressure while hot-oil circulation provided controlled heating. The pressing process needed to support stable bonding between the panel and core layer while reducing common defects such as bubbles, delamination, bulging, and warping.

Our Solution

Henglite configured the machine with 6 hydraulic cylinders, each 350 mm * 70 mm, providing a maximum pressing force of 80 tons at a system pressure of 20 MPa. The working table measures 4600 * 2650 mm, providing a large pressing surface for carriage panel production, while the platen opening reaches 300 mm.

For thermal control, the machine uses a hot-oil circulation heating system with an adjustable maximum temperature of 100°C. A PLC touch-screen control system integrates temperature, pressure, and holding-time settings, allowing the operator to manage the main process parameters from one control interface.

The equipment also includes a fully automatic roller conveyor for loading and unloading. Automatic panel positioning helps reduce manual handling during production. For overseas operation, the machine is equipped with export electrical components and wide-voltage compatibility. A complete CE safety certification document package was supplied for the customer’s export-related compliance requirements.

Customer Feedback

Based on the supplied project information, the customer’s production requirements focused on synchronized pressing, uniform heating, automatic material handling, and controlled bonding conditions. The six-cylinder configuration provides multi-point pressing across the large working area, while hot-oil circulation supports controlled panel heating.

The integrated safety system includes a safety protection mesh, emergency-stop interlock, and overload pressure relief protection. These configurations provide defined safety measures for routine operation and abnormal pressure conditions.

Summary

This Malaysia project demonstrates how an automatic hot press machine can integrate large-format pressing, hydraulic multi-point pressure, hot-oil heating, PLC process control, and automatic roller conveying for carriage panel production.

The key technical parameters include 80T maximum pressure, 20 MPa system pressure, 6 * 350 mm * 70 mm hydraulic cylinders, 4600 * 2650 mm working table, 300 mm platen opening, and up to 100°C adjustable heating temperature.

For carriage panel manufacturers, equipment selection should be based on panel dimensions, core material, adhesive process, required heating conditions, pressing force, holding time, and material-handling requirements rather than a single machine specification.
