Russia’s foam board and composite material processing industries face unique production challenges due to seasonal temperature changes and demanding operating environments. For manufacturers located in cold regions, stable equipment startup and continuous production performance are important factors when selecting hydraulic hot press machines.
In low-temperature environments, conventional hydraulic systems may experience increased oil viscosity, affecting equipment response speed and operational stability. Therefore, manufacturers require hot press equipment with improved cold-weather adaptability, reliable hydraulic performance, and consistent pressing results.
The customer is a Russian foam board manufacturer requiring a multi-layer hot press machine for large-volume panel pressing applications.
The production process required equipment capable of handling continuous pressing operations while maintaining stable product quality. The main challenges included:
Based on these requirements, the customer selected two sets of four-layer hot press machines for foam board production.
To meet the customer’s operating environment and production requirements, the hot press machines were customized with several targeted improvements.
The hydraulic system was modified with antifreeze treatment to improve low-temperature adaptability. This design helps maintain smoother hydraulic operation during cold starts, reducing the risk of startup delays caused by increased oil viscosity.
The equipment adopts a four-layer synchronous pressing structure, allowing multiple boards to be processed within the same pressing cycle. With a maximum pressing force of 120T, the machine provides sufficient pressure capacity for foam board compression and bonding applications.
During the pressing process, the hydraulic pressure system provides uniform force distribution across the working surface. Combined with controlled pressing parameters, the equipment helps reduce internal defects such as bubbles, layer separation, and deformation, improving the consistency of finished boards.
After installation and commissioning, the customer reported that the equipment performed well under Russia’s low-temperature operating conditions.
The modified hydraulic oil circuit allowed the machine to start smoothly without operational blockage during cold environments. The four-layer synchronous working mode helped optimize production organization by processing multiple boards simultaneously.
In actual production, the customer observed improved pressing consistency, with finished foam boards showing better surface flatness and fewer defects related to air bubbles, delamination, and warping.
The delivery was completed within 30 days, providing the customer with a timely production equipment solution to support their manufacturing schedule.
This Russia foam board production project demonstrates the importance of adapting hot press equipment to specific operating environments.
By combining a 120T maximum pressing capacity, four-layer synchronous operation, and a cold-weather optimized hydraulic system, the multi-layer hot press machine provides a practical solution for manufacturers requiring stable pressing performance in low-temperature regions.
For foam board and composite panel producers, equipment selection should consider not only pressing force but also hydraulic adaptability, process stability, and product quality requirements throughout the production cycle.
