In Russia, panel processing equipment may need to operate under demanding workshop conditions, particularly in industrial areas where winter temperatures and available electrical capacity can affect equipment selection. For manufacturers handling large composite panels, a cold press must provide sufficient pressing force while maintaining practical hydraulic operation and manageable electrical demand.
This project involved the supply of a flipping platform cold press machine for a Russian customer. The customer required a solution capable of handling large-format panels while also fitting the operating conditions of an existing industrial facility.
The customer ordered one machine, with a delivery period of 20 days. The application required pressing large composite panel assemblies and supporting convenient loading and unloading.
The customer paid particular attention to three factors: large pressing dimensions, flexible material handling, and suitability for an existing factory power supply. The machine therefore needed to combine hydraulic pressing with an integrated material handling solution.
Henglite configured a 50-ton flipping platform cold press machine with a 3400 × 2200 mm pressing platen, with both pressing force and platen dimensions available for customization.
The machine uses six hydraulic cylinders, each specified at φ70 × 100 mm, with a 5.5 kW motor. The hydraulic cylinder layout is concentrated, helping keep the hydraulic circuit relatively short. According to the project requirements, the system can operate with a low-viscosity-grade hydraulic oil suitable for winter operating conditions.
For material handling, the lower working table is designed for automatic infeed and outfeed. The platform provides an 80° flipping function, while the conveyor table has a rated load capacity of 6 tons. This configuration is intended to support handling of large and relatively heavy panel assemblies during the pressing process.

Based on the operating requirements provided for this project, the customer’s main concern was compatibility with the existing factory environment. The 5.5 kW motor was selected to limit starting-current demand and reduce the electrical load placed on older factory power systems.
The concentrated cylinder arrangement and shorter hydraulic circuit were also configured around the customer’s requirement for practical pressure-holding operation under winter conditions.
This Russian project demonstrates that selecting a flipping platform cold press machine should go beyond maximum pressing force. For large-panel applications, working dimensions, processing thickness, hydraulic configuration, material handling, electrical demand, and site conditions all need to be considered together.
With 50-ton pressing capacity, 3400 × 2200 mm customizable platen dimensions, 800 mm maximum processing thickness, six hydraulic cylinders, automatic table movement, and an 80° flipping platform, the configured solution was matched to the customer's large-panel processing and existing factory operating requirements.
For Russian and other cold-climate industrial markets, a suitable cold press solution should be evaluated according to the actual production environment rather than specifications alone. Hydraulic layout, motor power, material handling capacity, and customized pressing dimensions can all play an important role in equipment selection.
